HAVE YOU GOT EVERYTHING FOR RACE DAY?

From everyone at British Triathlon, we would like to wish you all the very best for the Accenture World Triathlon Nottingham. After all the months of training, the big day is almost here. All your hard work will pay off, so make every moment count and let the crowd spur you on as you soak in the atmosphere.

Ahead of race day, the last thing you want to be doing is rushing at the last minute to get everything together. It is important you have the right kit in order for you to register and participate in the triathlon. Plan everything in advance to put you at ease. Here are five things to remember and for you to prepare for the big day:

Wetsuit: The Accenture World Triathlon Nottingham is a wetsuit mandatory race so remember to bring your wetsuit. There is the option of being able to hire a wetsuit with our official wetsuit hire provider 2XU. If you are planning on hiring a wetsuit for the race, book as soon as possible and for details, click here. (Please see information on switch to duathlon format here)

Bike: You’ll need a bike to take part in the event, so make sure you get it checked over and is in road worth condition. You can also hire a bike using our official bike provider. Book your bike as soon as possible to avoid disappointment and details on how you can hire a bike can be found here.

Helmet: For your safety and as part of the rules, wearing a helmet will be mandatory. You will always need to wear your helmet during the times you are in contact with your bike.

Running Shoes: Running will be the final part of the triathlon so you’ll need to make sure your shoes are packed ready for you to put on in the final transition.

Tri Belt: And remember your tri-belt as wearing this will enable you to switch your number from your back to front when on the bike and run.

And as a bonus, make sure you pack everything you need for the finish. That may be warm clothes, post-race snacks or fluids.

Once again all the very best and have an enjoyable race.
