Event Overview

The Sprint Distance is a great individual racing option for novice and seasoned triathletes alike. Whether you're just starting out on your triathlon journey or chasing a personal best, the Sprint Distance event offers an open water swim and traffic free racing ahead of the elite action. 

If you’re a first timer or new to the sport, the open races are set to be a fun and accessible event for all ages and abilities to take part in, and you can be assured that there will be plenty of other triathletes of a similar ability to you taking part.

Entry Cost


Taking place under the nose of Nottinghams War memorial gardens, competitors will swim in the River Trent, with the bike and run legs taking place on closed roads around Victoria Embankment. Click here to view the mass participation route map.

Who can take part?

Competitors must be 15 or over to take part (on the 31st Dec 2018).

It is compulsory to wear a wetsuit, and you will need a road worthy bike though this doesn’t need to be a fancy one! You can get advice on hiring both a wetsuit and a bike from the event organisers if you need to.
